No, and it is not designed to be. PetHealth Pro keeps records and helps you prepare for an appointment. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe, and will never tell you that something can wait.

If an animal is unwell, contact your veterinary practice or an out-of-hours emergency clinic.

About two minutes per animal for the basics — name, species, breed, date of birth, microchip number. Photographing the drawer of paperwork takes longer, but you can do it a document at a time and the app is useful from the first entry.

You do not have to backfill years of history for it to be worth having. Start from today and add the past when you have a spare evening.

There is no direct integration with practice management systems — most do not offer one to pet owners. What works well in practice:

• Ask your practice for a printed or PDF history, then upload it. The text is extracted and indexed, so it becomes searchable.
• Photograph vaccination cards and certificates directly in the app.

Dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, reptiles and horses, each with fields, weight ranges and reminder intervals that suit them. A rabbit’s record does not look like a horse’s.

If your species is missing, tell us — adding one is usually a small piece of work.

Yes. Editing writes a new entry that points at the one it replaces, rather than overwriting it. The current value is what you see; the original stays underneath.

This is deliberate. A medical history that can be silently rewritten is worth very little in a disagreement with an insurer, and worth nothing to a vet who needs to know what was actually recorded at the time.

Yes — deletion is different from correction. A deleted record is removed from the timeline and from exports. Deleting an entire animal or account is scheduled with a grace window rather than done instantly, so an accidental deletion can be reversed within that window.

Push notification if you have installed the app to your home screen, and email. Each reminder type has its own lead time — a booster warns you earlier than a flea treatment, because booking an appointment takes longer than opening a pipette.

You can change the lead times, mute an individual animal, or turn a category off entirely, in Settings.

Doses are logged against the schedule, not as free-standing notes. Once the 08:00 dose is marked as given, it shows as given to everyone with access, immediately. A dose logged at a time the prescription does not call for is refused rather than quietly recorded.

Your data is never deleted. On the free plan the timeline shows the most recent twelve months; older entries are still stored, still included in your export, and reappear the moment you move to a paid plan.

You invite someone by email. They get their own account and their own sign-in — you never hand over your password. When you invite them, you choose what they can do:

• Family — full access, including costs, and can invite others.
• Sitter or walker — can log doses and see the care schedule, but cannot edit records or see what anything cost.
• Read-only — can read the history and nothing else. Useful for a vet or a new practice.

Change or revoke any of it from your phone, at any time.

Yes. Read-only and sitter access can be given an end date, after which it lapses on its own. This is the sane way to share with a holiday sitter or a second-opinion practice — you do not have to remember to take it back.

Yes. Every view and every change is written to an append-only audit trail, visible from the animal’s settings: who, what, and when.

One on Free, five on Plus, and no limit on Pro. The limit counts people, not animals — a sitter who looks after all four of your animals is one person.

You describe a symptom or ask a question, and it answers using that animal’s own record — age, breed, current medication, known allergies and recent history — rather than answering generically.

It is at its most useful for working out how urgent something is, what to watch for overnight, and what to tell the vet when you get there.

Some symptom patterns should never be discussed before a vet is called — bloat in a deep-chested dog, a blocked male cat, difficulty breathing, seizures, suspected poisoning, a whelping that has stalled.

When one of these is described, the assistant interrupts with a warning to contact a vet immediately, before anything else. This works in all six supported languages, not only English.

No. It will not diagnose and it will not recommend a prescription medicine or a dose. Anyone who tells you a chat interface can safely do either is selling something.

It is included with Plus and Pro. It is not available on the free plan, because it costs us money on every question.

When you upload a file, its text is extracted and added to a search index. A computer-generated PDF is read directly. A scan or a phone photo goes through text recognition instead.

The upshot is that a photographed vaccination card can be found by searching for the vaccine printed on it, months later, without you having named the file anything sensible.

PDFs, JPEG, PNG, HEIC and plain text. HTML and SVG are refused on purpose — served back from our own domain they could be used to attack you.

Ten documents on Free, unlimited on Plus and Pro. Individual files up to 25 MB, which is comfortably more than a phone photo of a certificate.

Free for two animals, permanently, with no card required. Plus is $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year. Pro is $14.99 a month or $149.90 a year. Yearly billing is twelve months for the price of ten.

No. It is a permanent plan. There is no countdown, and you will not be asked for a card until you choose to upgrade.

Your account drops to Free at the end of the period you have paid for. Nothing is deleted. Animals and documents beyond the free limits become read-only — you can still see and export everything, you just cannot add new entries to them.

Settings → Subscription → Cancel, inside the app. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel through your store account instead — Apple and Google do not let us cancel on your behalf.

If you upgraded by mistake, or within 14 days and have barely used the paid features, write to billing@thinkpethealth.com and we will refund it. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play have to be refunded by them, not us.

Yes. Invoices for every payment are in Settings → Billing, and you can add a company name and a tax or VAT registration number that will appear on future ones.

No. Separation between households is enforced by PostgreSQL row-level security — a layer below the application. Every request runs inside a database transaction tagged with your identity, and the policies filter every table by it.

This matters because it means a mistake in our code cannot leak another household’s records: the database will not return the rows in the first place. We test this against a live database on every build, using a role that has no ability to bypass those policies.

No. Not to insurers, not to advertisers, not to pet food companies, not to anyone. There is no version of this product where your animal’s medical history is the thing being sold.

Settings → Export, on every plan including Free. You get a machine-readable archive of every record together with the original files you uploaded. It is prepared in the background and emailed to you as a download link when it is ready.

No limit on how often, and no charge.

Settings → Account → Delete. Deletion is scheduled with a grace window rather than executed instantly, so you can change your mind. When the window closes, your records are erased.

Take an export first — once erasure runs, we cannot recover anything for you.

On servers in the United States (Northern Virginia), with encrypted backups in the same region. Uploaded files go to object storage directly from your browser and never pass through our application servers. If you are in the UK or the EU, the privacy notice explains the transfer safeguards we rely on.

Access and portability are self-service through Export. For anything else — rectification, restriction, objection, or a question about how we handle your information — write to privacy@thinkpethealth.com. We reply within 30 days, and usually far sooner.

PetHealth Pro runs in the browser and installs to your home screen from there — on iPhone, Share → Add to Home Screen; on Android, the browser offers to install it. Once installed it behaves like any other app, including notifications and offline access.

Yes, for reading. Records you have looked at recently stay available in a basement consulting room with no reception. Changes you make offline sync when you are back online.

A passkey replaces your password with your device’s own unlock — Face ID, a fingerprint, or a security key. There is no secret that can be phished out of you or leaked in a breach somewhere else.

Yes, use one. You can keep a password as well, as a fallback.

Sign in with your password and a code from your authenticator app, then remove the old passkey and enrol the new device. If you have lost access to both, write to support@thinkpethealth.com from the email address on the account and we will take you through recovery.

English, Polski, Deutsch, Français, Español and Italiano — the whole interface, including the emergency warnings, which are checked separately because a mistranslated warning is worse than none.
