Delete your account

Closing your PetHealth Pro account erases the records on it. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need a reason.

Export first if you might want the history. A medical record is easiest to replace the day before it is deleted and impossible the day after. Export is free on every plan, including Free, and takes a few seconds.

From the app

On Android, iPhone or the web:

  1. Open More, then the Your data card.
  2. Choose Export as JSON if you want a copy. Do this first.
  3. Choose Close my account.
  4. Read what the confirmation lists, then choose Erase everything.

Only an account owner, or a member you have given permission to manage people, can close an account. Someone invited to read the records cannot delete them.

Without the app

If you cannot sign in — a lost password you cannot reset, a device you no longer have — write to privacy@thinkpethealth.com from the email address on the account. We will confirm it is yours before acting on it, which is the same protection that stops somebody else closing your account by sending us an email.

What happens, and when

The request is recorded immediately and carried out 30 days later. Nothing is deleted during those 30 days.

The delay is deliberate. It is the difference between a mistake and a catastrophe: an account closed by a misplaced tap, a family argument or somebody who briefly had your phone can be recovered inside the window and cannot be recovered outside it.

To stop it, sign in and choose I have changed my mind in the same place you started it, any time before the 30 days are up. After that there is nothing left to restore — we do not keep a shadow copy, which is the point.

What is erased

  • Your account, and the sign-in details on it.
  • Every animal, and every record about them: medical history, medications and doses, vaccinations, weights, food, allergies, visits, insurance and emergency contacts.
  • Every document and photograph, including the files themselves and not only the entries pointing at them.
  • Sharing invitations, reminders and notification settings.
  • Your user profile, if this was the only account you belonged to. If you also belong to another household or to a veterinary practice, your sign-in survives for that one — closing one account does not remove you from somewhere else.

What is not erased

Three narrow things outlive the account, and none of them identifies you:

  • Anonymous commission records. If you arrived through a partner or clicked a shop link, the record that a referral happened stays, with the link to you removed. It becomes an amount and a date. A partner who is owed money is still owed it.
  • A veterinary practice’s own records. If a practice using PetHealth Pro treated your animal, their clinical and billing records are theirs, not ours to delete, and the law requires them to keep them. Closing your account unlinks you from their client list; it does not empty it. Ask the practice directly about their records.
  • A note that the deletion happened. One line recording that an account was erased and when. It carries no name, no email and no content — it exists so we can show that we did what you asked.
